About the Founder

Yzah Rubaya

Yzah is a bookkeeper for more than 20 years now. After 7 years of being a bookkeeper and inspired by her father, she opened a bookkeeping firm which provides premium bookkeeping services mostly to professionals and single proprietor business owners in the service industry.

She is the Founder of Bookkeepers Association of the Philippines, a successful online community for bookkeepers. Accordingly, she conducted the First Annual Bookkeeping Conference in Rizal Province last February 29,2020, with the theme,” Bringing Bookkeepers to the Top”.

She is also the Founder of Bookkeeping Schoolhouse, a successful online educational institution for persons who wants to learn bookkeeping and later, own a bookkeeping firm and become an entrepreneur.

On the other hand, she is one of the 2017 Entraprofessional Awardee. Her inspirational life was cited in the book entitled “Entraprofessional Accountants 50 stories” by Neil and Alina Sison. And was a nominee for 2018 Dr. Matthew A. Eichler Research Fellow Award of Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCoRE), a global organization of researchers and educators.

She is also an author of the physical book entitled “Rejection a Success Avenue”, 5 Simple Steps to Overcome Rejection and Breakthrough which were distributed in Guam, USA and in the Philippines ; eBook entitled “The Great Bookkeeper”, Discover how to attract potential and loyal clients, and “Bookkeeping The First”, Discover the 6 Basic Skills on How to be a Bookkeeper.

She is an unstoppable student who loves studying for the rest of her life. As a proof, she is now a Doctor in Business Administration, with a Master in Business Administration, Certified Bookkeeper or a holder of National Certificate III in Bookkeeping, National TVET Trainer Certificate Level I in Bookkeeping NCIII and Trainers Methodology Certificate I by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice, Commerce and Industry and in Teaching Accounting by Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Accountancy in the Philippines.

Yzah came from a poor family but manage to work hard to continue her passion of studying. To return her gratefulness to God and to those persons who help her during her educational journey, she managedto be a volunteer of Jesus Christ Cares for Cancer, Inc., San Antonio Abad Parishioner’s Foundation Inc., San Antonio Abad Parish Church of Brgy.Maybunga, Pasig City, Light of Jesus Community, formerYouth Coordinator of the Parish Youth Ministry at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish in Cardona, Rizal as and as Formation Program Coordinator for JUMPSTARTof the Ministry for Youth Affairs in the Diocese of Antipolo to name a few. Likewise, she gives FREE training in Bookkeeping for persons who are indigent, trainable, unemployed, and undergraduate whether a senior citizen or an out of school youth.

As part of her love of studying, she enjoyed being atrainer, researcher and presenter of her research. She orally presented her research entitled,” The Roles and Responsibilities of External Auditor in Corporate Governance” in international conference, 1st Joint International Multidisciplinary Research Conference of Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions, Ascendens Asia Group and Royal Institution, Singapore last July 1, 2017. Likewise, she orally presented her doctorate dissertation entitled “Corporate Governance Performance of External Auditors” in University of Guam, USA, last March 11-14, 2019.

She was able to have her two researches works published online entitled the “Global Business Challenges in Internal Control” and “The Roles and Responsibilities of External Auditor in Corporate Governance”.

But the most important part of her as a person is being a loving mother to her 4 years old daughter.
